GLAMOROUS CONVERTED LIBRARY
This turn-of-the-century house was previously a library, and its owners were interested in respecting and enhancing its gracious features while injecting a little glamour and rock 'n' roll into its interiors. Ore Studios refreshed the previously-painted millwork with a new scheme of grays and cream, calling out many of the original decorative details in glossy black. We then layered on gold, pink and red furnishings and textiles to reflect the energy of the young family living here. The formal living room is treated more like a den, with heavy linen curtains, textured carpets, and lots of comfortable seating. It's the perfect place to watch a movie or play instruments as a family. Hot pink velvet upholstered chairs are used daily in the dining room, a reminder that family dinner can be both formal and fun.
